How Health Cash Plans work

You can claim on your Health Cash Plan after one month from the date your plan starts. Any conditions that arise once you've started your plan are covered, but you will not be covered for any medical conditions you had before you took your plan out. If you are admitted to hospital following an accident, the one month wait period does not apply and you can claim straight away. Cover for maternity/paternity benefit or complications of pregnancy are available after one year.
There are four levels of cover - all pay out the same great benefits, but higher levels of cover give you even bigger cash payouts - and by paying annually you can reduce your cost by five per cent. The amounts you can claim, unless otherwise indicated, are the maximum per insured person per policy year and the benefit amounts are halved for insured children under 18.
